Updates for the New Biennium of Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants

A new Biennium of Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants is coming! Look for the updates that will be rolled out over the next couple of months.

PHONE NUMBER: 651-259-3497 is a dedicated grants office phone number to better serve you. Instead of remembering multiple phone numbers, you only need to remember one phone number to reach a Grants Office staff member. You can still reach individual staff on their direct numbers if preferred.

GRANTS PORTAL: The grants portal has been updated. Once logged in, you will notice that the online portal has a new layout that will be easier to navigate and will better present your information.

This update will not change any main functionality for you so you can continue to utilize the portal as you did prior to the update. You will not need to manually update anything in your personal portal but we do encourage you to navigate through your records to familiarize yourself with the new layout and design. Also, to help you navigate the grants portal, a link to a user guide will be available within the grants portal.

FUNDING: At the Minnesota Legislature 2017 session end, the Minnesota Historical Society will announce funding amounts for the Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage (MHCH) grants for the 2018 and 2019 state fiscal years (July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019).

MANUAL: With every biennium comes the release of an updated grant manual. It was published on Thursday, June 1, 2017.

PRESENTATION: The Minnesota Historical Society’s Grants Office held presentations around the state in June 2017.  These public presentations presented information and updates about competitive grants available through the Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants Program (Legacy), which is supported by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
