Over $1 million awarded to preserve Minnesota cultural and historic resources

MNHS announces the most recent recipients of over $1 million in funding from three grant programs that collectively preserve, conserve and enhance access to Minnesota’s cultural heritage.

The largest award was a State Capital Project Grant-in-Aid in the amount of $385,000 to the City of Red Wing to preserve the exterior of the Sheldon Auditorium. The Capital Grant-in-Aid program supports historic preservation projects of publicly owned buildings.
