Minnesota History: Building A Legacy

New Video Showcases 2012 Legacy Projects

We just uploaded an exciting new video to the Minnesota History: Building a Legacy website. This video shows a few of the many history projects that are happening throughout Minnesota this year. We hope you'll take a moment to find out about a few of the ways we're working to build a legacy for Minnesota.

Watch the video to find out more about how Legacy funds are giving Minnesotans new opportunities to learn about the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862, how it shaped our state and how it's consequences are still felt today.

Learn about how students are documenting the impact of a new lightrail line on University Ave. between Minneapolis and Saint Paul, how a new I-35W Bridge collapse exhibit will tell an amazing rescue story, and how kids are learning in museums with mobile technology.

This site is updated regularly with descriptions and data related to Legacy projects funded through the Minnesota Historical Society by the Legacy Amendment's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund (ACHF).
Further information about the use and impact of all Legacy Funds can be found on the Minnesota Legislative Coordinating Commission's Minnesota's Legacy site.
