Minnesota History: Building A Legacy

New Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants awarded across the state

The Minnesota Historical Society (MHS) is pleased to announce that more than 80 organizations in 37 counties throughout the state will receive Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants for projects that will preserve and share our state’s rich history and cultural heritage today and for many generations to come.

In this latest round of Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants, MHS awarded 56 mid-size and large grants (over $7,000) and 33 small grants (up to $7,000). See the full media release for the list of grant recipients.

"These projects will enhance access to history for all people now and in the future," says David Grabitske, manager of outreach services. "Accessibility means that people will be able to use the power of Minnesota history to transform their communities."

Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants are made possible by the Legacy Amendment’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, which supports efforts to preserve Minnesota’s land, water and legacy, including state history and cultural heritage.
