Minnesota History: Building A Legacy

MNopedia Partners with MinnPost

One of the Minnesota Historical Society's Legacy-funded projects, MNopedia, recently started a year-long partnership with the online news organization Minnpost.

MNopedia is an online encyclopedia about Minnesota. All articles are prepared for MNopedia by historians, consulting experts, professional writers, and others who have been vetted by the Minnesota Historical Society. This new partnership with MinnPost aims to "expand MNopedia's reach and develop new entries."

MinnPost will publish MNopedia articles on their website once per week. The first one was an article on the Minnesota Woman Suffrage Association. In addition, MinnPost will "publish, twice monthly for the next 10 months, news articles that relate to historical events in Minnesota; their content will then be developed into MNopedia entries." Their first post is about a new land-grant exhibit and the history of the University of Minnesota.

We're looking forward to seeing how this partnership develops this year!
