Project Overview

The Minnesota History Center invited the public to participate in programs that explored Dakota language and culture and also the history of the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862. Public programs provided multiple perspectives on the war and gave voice to Dakota history and identity through a variety of formats including lectures, films, tours and workshops.

Programs. $4,800,000 the first year and $5,200,000 the second year are for programs and purposes related to the historical and cultural heritage of the state of Minnesota, conducted by the Minnesota Historical Society.
